Useful Information for a Perfect Stay

You have two options for shopping: you can do it yourself or ask the chef to take care of it, buying the ingredients you want (at the customer's expense). To book, contact the reception.

The most common way to get around Watamu is through the tuk tuk and motorcycle taxi. Usually, you will find them available right in front of the resort. Alternatively, here are some numbers of our trusted drivers, who will be happy to assist you with your travels and organize your holiday in a more authentic and local way. You can always ask for support at the reception too.

Sunset Lab (Friday Night): Enjoy delicious pizza, Afrobeat DJ Set with live performances such as sax players and percussionists. Known for its breathtaking sunsets and boho atmosphere. Sunset Lab is definitely a place you can't miss. 

Paparemo Beach Party (Saturday Night): Dance to African, Italian and mainstream music, with a mix of locals and tourists. A lively place to party until the early hours. 

Car Wash (Local Bar): A cheap bar with African dance music and karaoke nights. A fun and friendly Kenyan environment where you can request your favorite songs, have a few drinks and show off your dancing skills. 

lighthouse: A bohemian place famous for spectacular sunsets and a relaxed atmosphere. Great food and occasional DJ set. Reservations required, especially during high season this is one of the busiest and most popular places in Watamu.

Kaleidoscope Festival: Held once a year, this festival features amazing DJ sets, art, food trucks and even tattoos. A weekend full of activities and creativity.

Advice: Always keep your belongings safe, book in advance at popular venues and use tuk-tuks or motorbikes for transportation.

To ensure a pleasant and safe stay for all guests, please follow the following rules:

  • Pool: Swimming is not permitted after 20:00 pm.
  • Blackout: In the event of a power outage, have a staff member turn on the generator. Generator hours are 9:00 a.m. to 23:00 p.m.
  • Non-Resident Entry: Non-resident visitors will be required to show proof of identity upon entry.
  • BBQ area: The barbecue area is for use by staff members or chefs only.
  • Noise: Noise, parties or loud music are allowed after 23pm.

Thanks to our strategic position, just 500 meters from the resort, a new shopping mall has been opened. Inside you will find a pharmacy, bar restauranta whirlpool bath, Bank, fruit seller, And a spa/hairdresser to satisfy your every need during your stay.

The local currency is the Kenyan Shilling (KES) and a ATM is available just 500 meters from our resort, in the new shopping mall. If you need to change euro o dollars in Kenyan Shillings, you can ask for assistance at the reception.
